The Neil Martin Group Ltd has been working for both the hydrocarbon and wind energy sectors over the past 15 years and was responsible for the first O&M building including roads and car parks for Dong Energy and more recently refurbishing one of their dockside developments in Barrow-in-Furness. This was a £3M project to improve the dockside for a lay down facility for all the offshore turbine monopiles and teepees. The project involved demolition of the existing facility along with the installation of all the new services. The ground works involved raising the side of the dock to a maintainable service level, through the quality workmanship, this lead on to the maintenance contract for the dockside development
There is also a cleaning division to the business which has undertakes regular projects with Dong Energy, Ormonde Energy, and H Wicks (Lindal) Limited in Barrow-in-Furness.
The Neil Martin Group has a tough environmental policy. It is the duty of all employees and sub-contractors employed by the Neil Martin Group to protect the environment as far as reasonably practical. When working on site all employees must consider the environmental impact of their actions. Steps are taken to recycle waste materials where it is found to be cost effective and does not have a detrimental effect on the environment. Wastage of new materials purchased for a job will be kept to an absolute minimum, both from a cost point of view and to minimise the environmental impact.
All company vehicles are regularly serviced to keep them in good working order and keep emissions to a minimum and The Neil Martin Group Ltd has invested over the past years in a fleet of new CAT Machinery ranging from 1 ton to 24 ton excavators and 16 ton to 18 ton PAT blade dozers including precision lazer/GPS levelling equipment. The fleet also contains 18 ton self propelled vibratory rollers, specialised tracked skid steer loader including fork and power rake attachments, lighting generators and fuel bowsers.
